Ghost/Horror books are fun to illustrate. I had a good time painting in all the sculls and faces in the treetrunk.
The author came around to my house to have his photo taken. While he was there he launched into a story - much to the delight of my young son.
This is what happens when your furnace breaks down. Another designer friend posed for the illustration on the left and my wife and son for the one on the right. Normally none of them look quite so forlorn - thank goodness.
Normally I'm quite upbeat about my work, but for some reason I had the idea to paint myself as Count Dracula. And what a handsome looking beast he turned out to be.
